Birthday Drabble Series for Angelmischa: "From Both Sides Now" (SS/HG, NC-17)

Myspace Happy Birthday Comments & Graphics

Happy Birthday, my dear! Thank you so much for all the lovely things you do for fandom, not least being the mastermind behind [info]the_new_library and [info]tnl_awards. In honor of the occasion, I've written you a drabble a series. A very, very smutty drabble series. Actually, it has no plot whatsoever.

Where else but on the internet can you essentially say, "Happy Birthday! I made you some porn"? :D It's humorous porn though, or at least I hope it is.

Anyway, it's basically the 'missing' lemon that comes between my previous drabble series, Backwards and in High Heels and What to Expect When Your Husband's Expecting—in other words, now you get to find out just how Severus got himself in that situation. Obligatory warning for gender bending here!

Er... I hope you enjoy it. If you hate it, I'll write something else for you! I hope your day has been as fabulous you deserve.

HP Drabble Round-Up 5: The Long-Overdue Edition

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
It's been months since I last posted a drabble collection, and I've got... oh, a fair few old drabbles saved up. So here's a post putting them all together in one place. As always, they're a mixed bag of pairings, ratings and sources--some are from [info]snape100, others from various Last Word Challenges--but the common thread is Snape, Snape, Snape. Ratings range from G to PG-13, while pairings include SS/HG, Snarry, Snape/Luna and, in a first for me, Snape/Molly. There are also a few drabble duos and trios in this set. The drabbles themselves are labeled as to more specific content.

Enjoy!

PSOH Drabble Round-Up 2

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
So, as I am trying to get my fest fics squared away and my other commitments covered, it seemed to be a good time for some bits of spring cleaning, including posting another batch of Pet Shop of Horrors drabbles here, for reference. It's been a while since the last time I posted some of these, I think; a set of HP drabbles will probably be coming soon.

Ratings vary from G to R, though there's nothing particularly nasty/explicit/disturbing here. You can take it as read that all the drabbles feature Count D/Leon and are slash-friendly. The drabbles themselves are individually labeled as to specific content.

Enjoy!

A Sequel and a Pet Shop of Horrors Pimp

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
A sequel to Backwards and in High Heels is up: What to Expect When Your Husband's Expecting. Again, this involves a bit of a twist on mpreg... but that would be obvious from the title, wouldn't it?

I also want to draw the attention of all my PSoH flist to the debut of a new author in the ship: [info]drachenmina! Some of you who are also HP fans know that she writes wonderful Snape-centric drabbles and stories, but I have corrupted her into the PSoH fandom and she's doing swimmingly with it. (Hooray! We're a small fandom; we need all the quality writers we can get!)

She's just posted her first full-length PSoH story: To Explain by Example. It's Leon/D, set post-Volume 10, and it's lovely! I may be biased because I beta'd it (*g*), but it's honestly a lovely piece of writing: clever, hot and sweet, featuring plenty of stubborn, embarrassingly blunt Leon and disciplined, cautious D. She gets that Leon is all Heart and D is all Head, and the interplay between the two of them is perfect. Go read it and leave her some feedback!

In other news, I have been wheedled into dressing up as the Easter Bunny at a charity event. ~sighs~ At least nobody will be able to see that it's me...

Can't Stop Writing

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Reluctantly, I had to set aside one of my Trading Places stories, because it's still clogged up in a frustrating way and I think the story and I need to take a break from one another. It was preventing me from working on my other things on a deadline, so even though I feel horribly guilty about it, it had to be done. I will get back to it; I just want to finish it well.

In any case, it seems to have worked, because I've been writing tons over the weekend and into this week. This is good news for my Snarry Games and [info]hp_beholder stories, and my PSoH story for the Ides of March is nearly finished, too. Isn't it amazing how one troublesome story can sap all your creative energy? All that guilt and frustration was like a millstone around my neck. Now that I've given myself permission to step back, I feel rejuvenated creatively.

This creativity has also expressed itself in the form of a little drabble series that I wrote for [info]grangersnape100. I originally imagined one or two drabbles, but it ran away with me and before I knew it, it was a story. I must warn for gender-bending and mpreg, but honestly, it's not as bizarre as it sounds. Really. You can read it here, if you haven't already seen it: Backwards and in High Heels. A sequel might be up by tomorrow; it's already partially written.

So, this is what I have been doing, aside from cursing about a) snow and b) having to be back in class and at work. Hopefully, I'll have something more interesting to post later this week. In the meantime, have a meme from [info]mundungus42:

Please post a comment with an entirely fictional and made-up memory of you and me. It can be anything you want - good or bad - as long as it is fake. When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised about what people don't actually remember about you.

Drabble: Hell Hath No Fury (Also, a Quick Pimp)

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
[info]warded_portal is hosting the Final Word Drabble Challenge this week, and it's up right here, if you'd like to participate. Please do! It's a lot of fun, and it's not so hard to come up with a teensy little drabble or two, is it? They sometimes even help when you have writer's block. The only rule is that the drabble end in the week's chosen word--in this case, the word is intact.

I won with this drabble, which means that I'll be hosting next week. Now to come up with a good and ambiguous word...

In the meantime, enjoy the drabble.

Title: Hell Hath No Fury
Rating: PG
Word Count: 100

HP Drabble Round-Up 4

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
First of all, a little squee for the New York Giants. I hoped they'd pull through, and they didn't disappoint! I was also squeeing about the fact that Plaxico Burress was the one who caught the fateful touchdown, because I have to cheer for my fellow Spartans and Plaxico was at Michigan State at the same time that I was. I once shared an elevator with him (I lived in the dorm filled with scholarship football players). He's a very, very big man. Very big. Anyway, hooray for the Giants!

It's also time for another grab-bag of drabbles, written for various sources and prompts. This particular batch is mostly Snape-centric, although Regulus makes a cameo appearance, as do Portrait!Dumbledore, Hermione and Remus. There's one Snupin and also one SS/HG, but everything else is more or less gen, with nothing over a PG-13 rating. (I must have saved up all my dirtiness for the drabble I wrote about Severus introducing Hermione to his pet rooster.)

Enjoy!

Drabble: Happy To See You (PG-15)

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
It's been a sort of stressful last few days, for reasons that I'll talk about soon, I promise. Stressful in the best of all possible ways, I hasten to add; nothing bad has happened. I'm just emotionally stunted and utterly inequipped to deal with it when good stuff happens, that's all. *g*

Anyway, Shiv hosted the Final Word Drabble Challenge today, providing me with the perfect opportunity to have fun and blow off some steam. Her chosen word was cock (~sniggers~), and I was inspired to challenge myself to write something that's not really as filthy as it sounds. See for yourself--Snermione behind the cut )

See, that wasn't really naughty, was it? Shame on you for thinking otherwise; what dirty minds you must have.

Final Word Challenge

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I'm hosting Tricky Dick's Final Word Drabble Challenge on my LJ this week, but everybody on IJ is very welcome to participate! Here are the details, copied from my LJ post:

[info]dickgloucester started the Final Word Drabble Challenge over a month ago, and it's still going! I responded first last week at [info]keladry_lupin's post here, so I'm in charge again this week. Here are the rules:

I'll give you a one-word prompt. It has to be the final word of the drabble you post in response in my comments section. As many people as feel the urge can respond. Any rating, any Potterverse pairing/situation ... anything that grabs your muse by the short and curlies. (I do warn you, however, that anyone who so much as hints at romantic Ron/Hermione in anything resembling a favorable light will be systematically slaughtered.) Time limit of a week; the first person to post their drabble gets to choose the word for the next round.

Note: the original guidelines specified that the drabble should be a single (i.e., 100 words), but since the muse grabs everybody differently and some really lovely double drabbles have resulted, I'm going to say that doubles are also allowable.

So the last word in each drabble this week shall be ... robe (or robes).

Take that in any direction you wish, but remember to have fun!

Interested in participating? Go here! Don't have an LJ account? Open ID and Anonymous commenting are enabled, so just have fun and do what you feel.

HP Drabble Round-Up 3: Deluxe Holiday Edition

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Another collection of drabbles today, a number of them winter or Christmas-themed. I think there are more obscure ones in this batch than usual, so even if you watch [info]snape100, there's a good chance that some of these are new to you. Some of them were written as part of the Final Word Challenge and others were written as Christmas presents for certain people, tucked in with the Christmas cards. (If you're one of them and object to having your drabble posted, please let me know and I'll tuck it away! If you want to just enjoy it for yourself, that's totally cool.)

This batch also includes the widest range of characters I've ever done. Everything is Snape-centric, but Neville, Minerva, Hermione, Luna, Harry, Remus and even little Teddy make appearances here, so there should be something for everybody. Ratings from G to PG-13, with individual labels for more specific content. Ships include Snuna, Snupin, Snarry, SS/HG and Snape/Sinistra.

Enjoy!

Birthday Drabble: Lo, How a Rose E'er Blooming

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I won't have much time until Wednesday, but I'm just poking my head out to wish a very Happy Birthday to [info]samanthavimes! I know you said you've had some unfortunate birthdays in the past, but I hope this one is perfect.

In hopes of making that happen, here's my present for you: a drabble trio, written to fit your request of Snape/Sinistra. It's holiday themed, too. It's a bit more bittersweet than I'd originally planned, but I hope you like it anyway--and of course, everybody else is free to enjoy as well.

Cheers!

Another grab-bag of drabbles for you all! Some of these are from [info]snape100, some from other locations. Some of you will have already seen them, but everybody's certainly welcome to enjoy them. I'm mostly posting them here for organizational purposes, but if you're interested, by all means, read away.

The content varies from G to PG-13, and while Snape stars in all of them, the supporting characters range from Draco to the Evans family to some fictional Prince cousins. Pairings included this time are SS/HG and Snuna, and I don't think there's any slash in this batch. (Hmm. How'd that happen?) The drabbles themselves are labeled more specifically as to content--oh, and there are a few double drabble sets in this bunch as well.

Enjoy!

Crossover Craziness

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I don't know if it's just because I finally finished off "To Make the Heart Grow Fonder," or my wicked coffee consumption, or what it is, but in terms of writing, I am in a really, really good space right now. I've got a good idea ofwhere I want the fic to go and bits of dialogue are coming to me all the time. I can sit down and write and write and write, and what's more, I'm actually happy with what I've written, instead of feeling like pitching my computer out the window. Writing my last story felt like a constant struggle, but now that it's over, I feel rejuvenated. I'm not crazy enough to think that this can last forever, but I am optimistic that this will see me through the final push on my Exchange Fic.

I've also gone crazy writing a lot of other stuff, because I can't get the ideas down fast enough. Case in point? This week's challenge for [info]snape100 is "Crossover Snape." That is, the challenge is to cross Snape with another fandom of the author's choice. My first thought? "Oh, cool, I'll do a PSoH one, and that'll be that." I don't write in any other fandoms, so I figured that I'd just do the one.

Wrong. So wrong.

I did write the PSoH crossover: Love, Hope and Dreams )

That wasn't the end, however. [info]starlightforest mentioned Dogma, and it got me thinking all sorts of semi-blasphemous things, and this three drabble set was the result: On a Mission from God )

But that's not all! By this time I'd caught crossover fever, and since other people were writing crossovers with House, I decided I'd try my hand at that one, too. The result? Another three-drabble set: Kindred Spirits )

Craziest of all, I've still got a ton of ideas for House and Snape, and I think a real, full-length crossover fic is inevitable. I need another writing project like a hole in my head, but I think my creative side has other ideas.

Now I know how Pandora felt after she opened that box...

Birthday Greetings and HP Drabble Round-Up 1

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
First off, I want to wish a Happy belated Birthday to [info]araheniel, and a Happy Birthday to [info]sigune! I'm sorry that I have nothing original to offer either of you except for my good wishes, but I hope those will suffice. May you each have the wonderful year you deserve!

I'm also posting a collection of my HP drabbles today. This is essentially a collection of the drabbles that I've written for [info]snape100, so some of you have probably seen them, but for others they might be new. I wanted to post them all in one place, for easy organization. They're all Snape-centric, mostly gen with a few various pairings, and the ratings only go from G to PG, so no worries about content. (I suppose I must save all my naughty stuff for my PSoH drabbles!) They're individually labeled as to content.

Enjoy!

Birthday Drabble: Homecoming

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Happy birthday, [info]sydpad! I don't know if you'll get this timely, since I know your internet access is limited just lately, but to honor the occasion, I have written you a birthday drabble, featuring Snape and a certain character who shall remain nameless. Let's just say that you keep hoping to see these two crazy kids getting together, hmm? :D

Of course, everybody else is free to read and enjoy as well, but I just had to offer Syd a small compensation for all the great things she offers to the fandom: wit, insight, sanity, lovely art, and mad Mod skillz on Tea at Spinner's End. Happy birthday, and I hope you enjoy your little present!

Homecoming )

This past week has been insanely, unbelievably hectic for me, and I've hardly had enough time to remember to eat, let alone post or write much of anything. Today is the first day I've had to decompress, so I'm catching up on everything I've missed. However, I wasn't completely idled--I've come up with some fabulous stuff for my SS/HG Exchange fic, and I wrote two drabbles.

The first is for [info]snape100, and features Snape, Hermione and a VW bus (inspired by this image). Check it out: It's Not the Destination, It's the Journey.

The second drabble is for [info]psohdrabble, and was written for the prompt 'Ceremony'. It is possibly the fluffiest thing I have ever written, although I hope it steers well clear of schmoop. It was actually a bit cathartic to write something unapologetically happy after the week I've had! It features Leon and D many years from now, and you can check that one out too, if you're so inclined: Worth the Trouble.

And now I am off to try and (finally) finish off my [info]snape_after_dh story...

Birthday Drabble: No Accounting for Taste

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I need to look into Drabble-holics Anonymous, I fear. Because yes, here I am, posting another one.

This one is Pet Shop of Horrors, and it's a birthday present for Lithiumdelusion, whose birthday was yesterday. (How is it that I know so many Leos, seriously?) I said that it would take a day, but the fact is that this one sprang almost fully-formed into my brain, so I decided to go ahead and post it.

Without further ado: No Accounting for Taste )

Happy Birthday, Lithiumdelusion! I hope you enjoyed your little present.

Birthday Drabble: A Wise Investment

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I bring you another drabble today, and this one's a birthday present for [info]andromakhe. She asked for Snape speaking Parseltongue--because, as she correctly pointed out, if Ron Weasley can manage it, anybody can.

This drabble is the result of that prompt. In the process of writing it, I also got bunnied HARD for a short Snape/Harry genfic, so you can probably expect that one to show up in a few more days. It's compatible with the drabble; sort of a prequel, really. But in the meantime, here's the drabble that started it all, with the warning that there is a teeny, tiny possible DH spoiler: A Wise Investment )

Hope you enjoyed your birthday, [info]andromakhe, and hope you enjoyed this pitiful little fic!

Also, could somebody please smack some sense into me? I signed up for the SS/HG exchange, in addition to the [info]snape_after_dh fest. *headdesk* I can't decide whether I'm more excited or terrified!
